The POCUS Atlas (TPA) is a collaborative education platform designed to create, share, and curate free ultrasound (US) educational content. Our goal is to improve the way Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is taught on a global scale by creating well-designed, learner-centric, web based educational tools. This includes our Image Atlas, Evidence Atlas, mobile app, and many other ongoing collaborative projects with other educators across the world. We are looking for a team member who shares our vision for global POCUS education.
TPA is offering a 1-year fellowship position to eligible candidates within the United States, sponsored in part by the Butterfly Network. The fellowship start date will be determined in coordination with the selected candidate. The candidate selected to participate will receive:
Butterfly iQ probe for 1 year including cloud storage and with cloud based QA
One-on-one bi-weekly mentorship meetings with our TPA faculty (Matt Riscinti & Mike Macias) and consultants
FREE access to our annual Bread and Butter Essentials of Ultrasound Course and opportunity to be a hands-on instructor
A travel stipend of $500 to attend conferences
Endless other conference, speaking, and publication opportunities with our team
As an integral TPA team member, you will have the opportunity to improve the world’s ultrasound education platform and help expand our impact. Fellow responsibilities will include:
Administrative: Curating the best US clips from around the world and contributing to our archive.
Design: Utilize learner-centric design principles to improve user interface and deliver content in the most effective ways.
Image Acquisition: Record ultrasound studies using your own Butterfly iQ and publish your own cases. Your ultrasound studies will also be utilized by the Butterfly Network to help develop their robust Butterfly Education Platform.
Social Media Outreach: Engage in online POCUS discussions and share TPA education content through our Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Innovation and Content Creation: Develop new avenues of POCUS education delivery through our platform. Creativity is encouraged!
The fellowship is open to USA based fellows, residents, medical students and advanced practice providers. Applicants should have some ultrasound and image interpretation experience although we will aim to enrich your skills as part of the fellowship. We also prefer applicants with experience in web design, social media, and education. Applicant should also be available for 3 days Bread & Butter course, February 11th-13th, 2020.
